IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

MANAGEMENT OF KYJO FROM 1 SEPTEMBER:
The Trustees have reached an agreement with Kent Music that management of KYJO will be transferred to Kent Music from 1 September 2026.
This will give KYJO members the opportunity of enjoying the benefits of being part of a larger organisation, whilst continuing to develop their interest in big band jazz.
Rehearsals will continue to be held at Invicta Grammar School on Tuesday evenings under the direction of Mike Austin and Dan Banks.
KYJO players not already members of Kent Music will receive an invitation to join. Registration will begin from June and be effective from the start of the academic year beginning in September. Existing Kent Music members will simply have to register their interest in KYJO.
KYJO will issue invoices for £70 as usual in April for the Summer term but subscriptions from September will be managed by Kent Music. Membership of Kent Music will allow access to its music hubs across Kent including tuition if needed, as well as continuing membership of KYJO. This will be at a lower cost than the current KYJO subscription and financial support will still be available from Kent and Medway Young Musicians' Trust for those eligible.
